SKATE for SCARS is a video contest open to any age, ethnicity and gender, aimed at bringing together communities from across Alberta into a single event.

Teams will have 2 months to film and edit a 2-5 minute skateboard video while raising donations for SCARS from friends, family and workplaces. Each team member is required to collect a minimum $50 donation. However, teams will be encouraged to gather more than the minimum donation while also sharing their journeys along the way via social media for a chance at winning even more prizes!

The top videos will be selected to appear in a large theater screening within Edmonton, AB in the fall of 2022. Judges will select the winning video that evening, based upon: creativity, inclusivity and by the level of skateboarding. The winning team will walk away with $2500 CASH courtesy of Oodle Noodle!

All selected entries will receive tickets to the showcase in late September. Raffle tickets will also be sold at the showcase, where special prize boxes from selected Alberta Skateboard retailers will be given away throughout the evening.

All donations go directly to the SCARS Main Rescue Fund to assist in animal rescue and help companion animals in need.
