Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) is a Society incorporated under the laws of Alberta. Our registered address is PO Box 3045 Athabasca AB T9S 2B9. SCARS plans to raise approximately $2.1M in 2023 through fundraising campaigns. It is estimated to cost the organization approximately $210,000 to raise this amount. Funds raised go to support rescue costs, care and medical attention for rescued SCARS animals, and to support our mission to promote the humane care and protection of all animals and prevent cruelty and suffering. Item Donations
Donations of physical items are always appreciated. We are in constant need of more items as we receive new rescues. Check our wish list. Donated items can be dropped off at any of our drop off locations. Thank you for your support.
ATB Cares Donations
When you contribute to SCARS through the ATB Cares program ATB will add 20% to the donation. Go to the ATB website to submit your donation. Please note they charge a support fee of 2.9%.
